I had the pleasure of doing another senior portrait session recently. It was a perfect evening...cool breeze, warm setting sun, blue sky and green trees. These photos were taken in the lovely backyard garden area of the client's home in Downs, IL.

I had the opportunity to do another newborn session! You may have seen the maternity photos from earlier on my blog, and now, here is baby dear... It's so easy to forget how tiny and sweet they are at just 1 week old. Those little toes don't stay little for long!

And, of course, I had to do a re-do of the shot with all the feet, with the baby toes in the mix now!

Old Brick Wall

Before the thunderstorms came rolling through the countryside, I had the opportunity tonight to do my first High School Senior shoot. This young man was very cooperative and seemed to move easily before the camera. Our session was cut short by the weather, so more sports-themed photos are to come... For now, take a peek at these--taken at his family farm. As I look at how grown up he is (and how handsome!), I'm reeling at how it seems like it was just yesterday that he was shorter than me. If you ever want to hear the sweet story about how I know he has friends in high places, just ask... This guy knows the power of prayer.

Mother Daughter Moments

I have a friend of many, many years... She's a precious Pearl to me. I recently got to spend some time photographing her with her pride and joy--her daughter. Happy birthday, little one! What a gift for me to capture these two. Oh, and if you find yourself admiring the beautiful flowers in the background, you can pass your compliments on to the Schmidts. Many thanks for letting me use your enchanting garden as my studio!

Prima Ballerina!

Get a load of this little ballerina! Is that tutu the most adorable thing you've ever seen or what?! And her poses! Peeking over her shoulder and sticking out her little tooshie... Too cute. She just turned 1, but in about 15 years--look out! Mom and Dad, you're going to have your hands full with this one :)
